park_blockageMoseley Park users were this week warned to find alternative routes  around the lake due to lengthy delays caused by fallen trees. It seems that aberrant weather conditions have caused a number of trees to lose branches rendering sections of the park completely inaccessible.

One livid park user told us “It’s a disgrace, I’ve been waiting on this path for nearly an hour waiting for someone to get off their arse and clear a path for me. I only nipped out for a few minutes and my tea will be ready in a bit. Is this the standard of service that we pay nearly forty quid a year for? Well obviously I don’t pay forty quid, the wife usually just heaves me over the fence, she’s quite unusually strong. But some people with better social consciences and weaker wives pay a kings ransom for this shoddy service.”

We spoke to representatives of  Moseley Park who were oddly defensive, they said “What you are witnessing is the munificence of Autumn, it provides an opportunity for rebirth by the removal of the dead and the weak through challenging weather. Anyone who doesn’t recognise their own irrelevance in the face of nature’s raw power frankly doesn’t deserve to come in our park.”

We feel there is an opportunity for the park to work on its people skills.
